ICPC Training Explained

Those of you lucky people who have already trained with us will know that our training course comprises two parts - your practical training and your online qualification in Civil Celebrancy . The residential training course lasts 5 days and takes place at our unique residential training premises in North Yorkshire. After training the Certificate can be completed afterwards, within specific timeframes, and is 100% online using the resources we give you. This enables you to work at your own pace in your own way but is fully supported by resources and your own personal tutor.

Is Online Learning Hard?

While our residential training is done in-person, the qualification you decide to take is completed online. Some people find online learning more challenging than others, but we are here to support you the entire time. 

There are many advantages to online learning. These are that you can:

• Do it at your own pace. If you are a quick learner and read / process information rapidly, you won’t feel held back by the classroom. Similarly, if you prefer to take your time over materials, you won’t feel rushed. 

• Do it anywhere. Learn at home, at a cafe, at a library - anywhere you want. 

• There’s no transport or parking costs - you don’t have to leave your living room. 

• Learn around your other commitments. If you can’t begin learning until 5pm, so be it!

• You can still meet other people via digital technology such as Facebook Groups, study groups and email. 

• You can still build a relationship with a tutor via phone and email. 

So, even if you have been out of education for a while, you are likely to find online learning flexible enough to cater to your needs and strengths.
